Medical Cannabis - Unlicensed Operator Applicants

ABCA received a total of 76 applications for a Cultivation Center, Internet Retailer, or Retailer license during the open application period for unlicensed operators between 9:00 a.m. on November 1, 2023, and 4:00 p.m. on January 29, 2024.

The attached roster details all timely received applications. The inclusion of an application does not indicate that it has or will be approved by the ABC Board.

The included fields are listed below with further explanation where warranted.

  • Date/Time of Application Receipt—The date and time that the application was received by ABCA.
  • Application Type—The type of business license being requested—Cultivation CenterInternet Retailer, or Retailer.
  • Applicant Type—The type of applicant—Standard or Social Equity.
  • Entity Name—The official legal name of the business.
  • Trade Name—The customer facing name of the business frequently referred to as “DBA” or “doing business as”.  
  • Proposed Location—The street address that the applicant has identified as the intended location for their medical cannabis business.
  • Prior Location—The street address that the applicant has identified as the location that their unlicensed medical cannabis business is currently operating or previously operated from.
    • The field includes a “-“ if the applicant did not specify a proposed business location in their application. The field is left blank if the prior location is the same as the proposed business location.
  • ANC—The ANC representing the neighborhood of the proposed location.
  • Endorsement Types Requested—The type of additional license privileges being requested by a Retailer applicant—Education Tasting, Safe Use Treatment Facility, and/or Summer Garden.
    • The field includes “None” if a Retailer applicant did not request additional privileges. The field includes “N/A” if the applicant is a Cultivation Center or Internet Retailer applicant and is not eligible to request additional license privileges.
  • Date of Placarding—The date a public notice is posted on the exterior of the proposed business location and the start of the 45-day public comment period.
