Starting today, ABCA will accept select medical cannabis business license applications from two (2) eligible applicant groups. They include:
- ABCA-Licensed Operators | Cultivation Centers, Manufacturers, and Retailers
- Social Equity Applicants | Couriers, Cultivation Centers, and Manufacturers
Applications from social equity applicants must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023. Applications from existing ABCA-licensed operators must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Applications may be submitted by email to [email protected], mailed or returned to the ABCA lobby drop box located at 2000 14th Street NW, 400 South, Washington, DC 20009.
Testing Laboratory license applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and do not need to be submitted during an open application period.
The next open application period will be for non-social equity applicants and opens Tuesday, August 29, 2023, and closes Monday, October 30, 2023. Applications for Courier, Cultivation Center, and Manufacturer licenses will be accepted during this period.
Recordings and presentation slides from all four Medical Cannabis Amendment Act of 2022 information sessions are available online. Additional information sessions will be hosted in advance of new open application periods.
