Electronic Games of Skill

Overview

Allows alcohol establishments to install and operate up to five (5) games of skill machines on their licensed premises. This allows the license holder to install games of skill devices, expressly played to win money or property, at a restaurant, tavern, nightclub, hotel, or multipurpose facility.

Eligibility

On-Premises Retailer License holders

To Apply

As of October 1, 2025, all establishments, including those with an active Games of Skill Endorsement, must also secure a Games of Skill License from the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration.

Requests for a Games of Skill License can be included in an applicant's initial ABC License application (new License), or in an Approval of a separate Games of Skill License (existing License).

Applications can be submitted by mail, email or in person at ABCA's offices.

Valid Period and Fees

Endorsements are valid for the entire alcohol licensure period. An annual fee applies. See Fee and Renewal Schedule.

•    The annual games of skill license fee will remain $300, while the annual games of skill endorsement fee is now $500.
•    Manufacturer Class A or B licensed venues will no longer be required to have an On-Site Sales and Consumption Permit to offer games of skill.

Of Note

Board Orders and Settlement Agreement terms apply and may affect eligibility.
