Overview

Permits the sale, service, and on-premises consumption of medical cannabis and medical cannabis products within a private outdoor space.

Eligibility

Licensed retailers only may apply. A licensed retailer must also hold a safe-use treatment facility endorsement to be eligible to obtain a summer garden endorsement.

Board Orders and Settlement Agreements may affect eligibility.

To Apply

Retailers must submit a Medical Cannabis Endorsement Application to add the permission to an existing license.

Applicants seeking a new retailer license may request the permission on their initial Retailer Application or submit a Medical Cannabis Endorsement Application to add the permission after license issuance.

Applications are subject to a 45-day public comment period and ABC Board approval. View Application. 

Valid Period and Fees

Endorsements are valid for the licensure period. An annual fee applies for each Summer Garden. See Fee and Renewal Schedule.

Permitted Summer Garden hours of operation are daily between 8:00 a.m.-12:00 a.m.
