Today, the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board extended the deadline for the current alcohol license renewal cycle to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Late fees will start to accrue on Wednesday, June 1.
The current renewal cycle applies to some on-premises retailers (restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and multipurpose facilities only); common carriers (trains and boats); and caterers.
Applications must include all required documentation, including Certificates of Clean Hands for the business and each individual associate with the license with the application, and be accompanied by payment.
Certificates of Clean Hands are issued by the District’s Department of Tax and Revenue and may be requested at mytax.dc.gov.
