Public Hearing Notice: Glover Park Moratorium Zone

The Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board (Board) will hold a hearing at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, to receive public comment concerning the renewal of the Glover Park Moratorium Zone based upon a request filed by Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 3B. The existing Glover Park Moratorium Zone set forth in 23 DCMR § 308 is scheduled to expire on March 31, 2026. ANC 3B has also requested that the Board amend the existing Glover Park Moratorium Zone to increase the number of permitted taverns (Retailer’s Class CT or DT) by one additional license. The Board has deemed this request compliant with D.C. Official Code §§ 25-351 and 25-352. A copy of the ANC’s letter may be located on the agency’s website at www.abca.dc.gov.

The Board’s public hearing is being held in compliance with D.C. Official Code § 25-354 and will be conducted via video conferencing through the Cisco Webex meetings (Webex) platform. Internet access is required. The hearing will also be streamed via YouTube.

Individuals and representatives of organizations who want to testify at the hearing should contact the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration’s (ABCA) General Counsel Jonathan Berman via email at [email protected] by no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026. Please include your full name, title, organization and your phone number. Once you have submitted your contact information to ABCA, you will be provided information regarding participation in the virtual hearing.

Members of the public who are unable to testify may provide written comments which will be included as part of the Board’s official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted to ABCA General Counsel Jonathan Berman no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026.
