A Medical Cannabis Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) is a business headquartered in the District of Columbia and certified by the District's Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD). Businesses with CBE certification receive preferred procurement and contracting opportunities.

To Apply as a Medical Cannabis CBE
To qualify as a Medical Cannabis Certified Business Enterprise, parties for a medical cannabis business license must submit the below documentation with their application:
- Certification as a Medical Cannabis CBE (issued by DSLBD)
- Medical Cannabis Certified Business Enterprise Declaration Form
- Annual Personal Net Income Attestation Form

Of Note
A Medical Cannabis Social Equity Fund was established to assist social equity applicants and medical cannabis certified business enterprises. The fund is administered by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD).
ABCA plays no role in determining CBE status and does not manage the social equity fund. These programs are completely overseen by the DC Department of Small & Local Business Development (DSLBD). Questions should be directed to DSLBD at [email protected].
