The Modified Measures in Phase Two of Washington, DC Reopening Information Session will delve into key provisions included in Mayor’s Order 2021-060 and related ABC Board emergency rulemaking impacting alcohol establishments. The Mayor’s Order and emergency rulemaking takes effect Saturday, May 1, 2021

Key topics to be addressed include:

  • Expanded table seating capacities for patrons from six (6) to ten (10) persons.
  • Elimination of the prepared food requirement to purchase alcohol by patrons seated outdoors.
  • Resumption of live entertainment where patrons are seated and performers distanced, in addition to other specific conditions.
  • Resumption of live music accompanying dining outdoors on licensed summer gardens and sidewalk cafes.
  • Reopening recreational facilities, museums, and multipurpose facilities that serve food and drink in compliance with restaurant rules, including table service and seated dining only.

Previously announced modifications pertaining to service hours and capacity maximums continue to apply and will be discussed during the session.
