Statement and Report Compliance Filing

Overview 

DC law requires the holders of select license types to submit compliance filings by a fixed calendar date reflecting the previous period's activity. Filings must be submitted online.

Alcohol Deadlines 

Filing deadlines vary by license type.  

Quarterly Statement  |  Hotels, Restaurants and Brew Pubs

  • Due: April 30 | For: Q1 January 1-March 31
  • Due: July 30 | For: Q2 April 1-June 30
  • Due: October 30 | For: Q3 July 1-September 30 
  • Due: January 30 | For: Q4 October 1-December 30

Semiannual Statement  |  Caterers and Third-Party Alcohol Deliveries 

  • Due: January 30 | For: July 1 - December 31
  • Due: July 30 | For: January 1 - June 30

Annual Statement  |  Wine Pubs, Full Service Grocery Stores (Class B), 25 Percent Grocery Stores (Class A), and 25 Percent Retailers (Class B)

  • Due January 15 for Wine Pubs | January 1 - December 31
  • Due March 3 for Grocery Stores (A, B) and Retailers (B) | January 1 - December 31

Medical Cannabis Deadlines

Licensed medical cannabis Retailers and Cultivation Centers are also required to submit biannual compliance reports:
Retailer report form  |  Cultivation Center report form

  • Due: July 30 | For: January 1 - June 30
  • Due: January 30 | For: July 1 - December 31

Deadlines falling on weekends or District Government or federal holidays carry over to the next business day. Late and non-filers may be subject to fines and/or license suspension or revocation.
