Allows alcohol establishments to add sports wagering devices or kiosks to their licensed premises.

On-Premises Retailer License holders

 

To Apply

 

Current and prospective alcohol license holders must secure a Sports Wagering Operator License from the Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG) and a Sport Wagering Endorsement from ABCA. Both can be applied for concurrently.

 

Requests for a (sports wagering endorsement)  can be included in an applicant’s initial ABC License application (new license) or in an Approval of a Substantial Change Application (attached below).

 

Before ABCA will issue an alcohol license with a Sports Wagering Endorsement included, the applicant must present their OLG-issued Sports Wagering Operator License for verification.

 

Valid Period and Fees

Endorsements are valid for the entire alcohol licensure period. An annual fee applies. See Fee and Renewal Schedule.

 

Of Note

Board Orders and Settlement Agreement terms apply and may affect eligibility.

 

Establishments located within a two block radius of the four (4) designated Sports Wagering Class A Facilities including Capital One Arena, Audi Field, Nationals Park, and St. Elizabeth’s East Entertainment and Sports Arena are not eligible for a Sports Wagering Operator license. Licensees should consult the OLG-maintained map that details the exemption areas before submitting a request.
